Whether you need media-training or want to learn the intricacies of public relations, I provide a range of coaching sessions to upskill your PR acumen.

MEDIA-TRAINING

Media interviews can go really wrong and damage both your relationship with key reporters, and your reputation. Make sure you don't go into any interview unprepared. Master the Dos and Don'ts, and learn the tools to drive the conversation in a way that brings value to journalists, while getting your message across.

Half-day training: theory + practice (mock interviews). Up to 3 speakers.

INTRODUCTION TO PR

This training covers the basic principles of media relations, from the state of the Australian media landscape, to why and how organisations do PR. Whether you want to assess media relations' potential for your organisation, or educate your team, this session is for you.

1 to 1.5 hr training, including Q&A. Tailored to your brief + audience. Unlimited participants.

WRITE A PRESS RELEASE

Journalists receive hundreds of press releases per day. Increase the chances for yours to catch their attention. Understand the purpose of a release, and best practices regarding structure, tone or length. 

Two-parts training: theory (1hr) + practice (2hrs) on separate days. Homework in-between sessions. Up to 3 people. 

PITCHING JOURNALISTS

Pitching is a unique exercise. Journalists are incredibly time-poor and you have to ensure pitches are relevant to them. This training covers best practices, aiming to increase chances that journalists will be interested in your story.

2 hrs training: theory + practice. Up to 5 people. 

WRITE AN OPINION PIECE

Occasionally, media accept to publish opinion articles from external contributors. However, in recent years, they have tightened their criteria for accepting this type of content. This training is designed to help you write opinion pieces that meet these new expectations. 

Two-parts training: theory (1hr) + practice (2hrs) on separate days. Homework in-between sessions. Up to 3 people.
